Respiratory
Fit Testing - to ensure proper respirator fit.
For employees required to use a tight-fitted respirator while on the job. A fit-test will help determine if the respirator fits to their face to properly seal and protect them. If not fitted properly they simply won’t protect the employee(s), leading to inhaling harmful chemicals, vapors, particles, etc. This is an essential step in implementing safety measures in the workplace and ensures that your employees will remain safe and healthy while at the workplace.
Differing from a respirator physical, a respirator fit test will test the seal between the respirator’s faceplate and the employee’s face to determine accurate size, make and model. The test lasts about 10 minutes and is done annually.
Once a fit test is performed and passed, the employee must ONLY wear the exact same make, model, style, and size that was used to perform the test. Since not all respirators fit equally, a fit test will determine proper fit. If we have a failed result, we will look for a respirator that properly fits. Note that any physical changes such as facial hair, significant weight gain or loss, facial surgery, or significant scarring could affect the fit of your respirator.
If any of these physical changes occur and/or if the employee feels their respirator is no longer suitable, they need to be retested.
At BSafety Solutions, we conduct Qualitative Fit Tests that use the senses of taste or smell to determine if the respirator is fitting properly. This is measured as pass or fail. Qualitative fit tests are typically used for half-face respirators, both disposable (N95’s) and elastomeric (re-usable).
Packages start at $500 and include assistance with medical evaluations, Fit Tests and Respiratory user training. Contact us to discuss your specialized solution.

Safety Consulting
Keep your business, employees, and reputation safe
With over 20 years’ experience, our safety programs are straightforward and understandable. To do that, we break our services down into two categories: Safety Consulting and Safety Services. With each category we do a few things depending on the business segment. To do that, we work with our clients to establish a baseline and then determine which service(s) will offer the best value.
A solid safety foundation for any business requires a baseline, compliance, and engagement from management, employees, and a safety professional.

Safety Development
Customized safety programs developed to meet or exceed all OSHA requirements.
We can create individual programs for specific tasks, or design a safety manual that could be all inclusive.
Policies Having a safe business demands more than an understanding of safe concepts. A safe environment requires bulletproof safety policies set in place and followed by everyone.
Program There are several OSHA requirements that must be included in any safety program. These safety programs must be written, complete and customized for the working task. They also must be updated regularly to include any regulation changes. Additionally, OSHA may ask to review all written programs during an inspection, hence it is imperative that your safety program(s) are always up to date.
Training Any program that is implemented requires training. These training sessions are at the core of any good program. Our safety training programs are customized for your business and crafted to meet all OSHA
requirements.
